With potential cuts in federal defense spending looming, Impact Business Accelerators is set to host a symposium targeted at arming Arizona’s small aerospace and defense companies with new ideas and strategies to keep from falling off the fiscal cliff in 2013.

The Aerospace & Defense Small Company Business Acceleration Symposium will take place Oct. 17 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic Campus in the Agribusiness Center Room 134. The center is at 6096 S. Backus Mall in Mesa.

The Arizona Commerce Authority, ASU’s College of Technology & Innovation and East Valley Aviation & Aerospace Alliance are helping sponsor the event.

Panel experts from Arizona, New York and Boston will present and discuss small business growth and success strategies including problem-solving, increasing sales/profits, entering new markets, new capital acquisition and leveraging the Web to grow.
