Donavon Ostrom

Executive Director

Donavon Ostrom has been providing business acceleration and corporate re-engineering services to companies since 1994. His core skills are strategic planning and implementation, team building, process improvement, and building business infrastructure.   His experience in the integration of acquired companies and corporate re-engineering — both in design and execution — gives him a unique understanding of the dynamics of productivity and focus.

He has co-founded two companies, Outsource International and Impact Business Accelerators, each engaged in accelerating the growth of early-stage and emerging growth companies. Outsource ceased operations in 2008 and remains a portfolio company controlling equity in numerous small businesses in Arizona.  In 2007, he co-founded Impact with the intent of perfecting a new business model in Phoenix and replicating the model in other major markets throughout the U.S.

Donavon holds a Master of International Management degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Arizona State University. He is married with three grown children and four grandchildren. His hobbies include finish carpentry, painting, reading, writing, and politics.

Clients include:     

Advanced Motion Measurement, Inc. — Led the team that formed the company and designed and implemented the new business model. The company produces hardware and software products for the capture and measurement of human motion.  Directed the effort to develop a new sensor technology that measures human motion. The technology will be used in Digital Healthcare. Helped structure a strategic alliance with Acushnet, owner of the Titleist brand.  Served on the Board of Directors.

BioSense International, Inc. — Led the effort to form a new company in partnership with Arizona Technology Enterprises, the technology transfer group affiliated with Arizona State University. The company is engaged in the design and manufacture of highly sophisticated electro-optical instruments and reagents used for the rapid detection and characterization of pathogens in liquids. Led the effort to raise $180,000 of  first-round capital.

 Served on the Board of Directors.

Dana Park Officenter, LLC — Assisted this executive suite company in negotiating a forbearance agreement with their lender that included a 45.3% discount of the payoff and eliminated the principal’s exposure under the personal guarantees.

ClickRelief, Inc. — Helped build this Internet company to exploit an innovative business idea generated by an Outsource International “Ideation Team” (professionals selected by Outsource International to identify market changing innovations for large unmet market needs).

One McDonald Center, LLC — From 2002 until 2005 he led the effort to redevelop a high-rise office building in partnership with the City of Mesa. Outsource sold this commercial property and generated a 21.82% IRR and 80.78% ROI to the investors.

Skill Technologies, Inc. — Served as Team Leader and helped re-engineer this 12-year old motion-measurement software company. He led the effort to raise some $1.5 million of equity and debt capital.

Arizona E2020, LLC — As Team Leader he led the effort to create a dropout-recovery program for Arizona’s public schools in partnership with the YMCA.  Served on the Board of Directors.

Kinex IHA Corporation — Led the effort to raise more than $7 million of equity and debt capital. Developed and implemented a new healthcare service model (Focused Care System) for the diagnosis and treatment of muscle, bone, and joint disorders and injuries. Directed the R&D team that developed the Kinex IHA System – a medical device that measures the biomechanical function of the human joint.  Secured numerous patents. Led the development of an information technology platform to support the FCS. Served on the Board of Directors.
